On a beautiful stretch of the Algarve, Portugal, Miguel Rodrigues makes his living from fishing, along with much of the local community. He’s noticed a sharp decline in catches over recent years, and believes over-fishing and mass tourism could be to blame. As President of his town’s fishing association, he’s been instrumental in efforts to create a Marine Protected area to preserve the unique coastal reef habitats found here.
