Islanders on the Rosario Islands in Columbia are fighting back against plastic, repurposing
discarded debris into colourful and creative pieces of artwork. Discarded pieces of rubbish
are gathered and crafted into bags, wallets, napkin holders and other items.
Aware of the increasing threat plastics pose to these surrounding fragile ecosystems, the
local community are working together to ensure that plastic is reused and kept out of the
oceans.
